She even goes to his room and steals his prized Captain Oats. She later returns the horse to Seth but blatantly in front of Summer to stir up her jealousy. Seth explains to Summer that Taylor is just lonely and needs as many friends as she can get.

Volchak is still after Ryan for a good fight. He keys Ryan's car and begins to mess with Marissa. This is where Ryan finally steps up and seems to go crazy. He threatens Volchak a fight till the death, and seeing Ryan's rage, Volchak retreats because he thinks Ryan is crazy. In reality this was Ryan's plan all along, seeing that if he gets in one more fight, his life in the OC is over.

Julie Cooper and Charlotte scheme together and the charity benefit is taking place. Julie realizes how wrong it is of her to be taking these innocent people's money, especially Kirstin's. She then makes an announcement that all checks should be written out to a real charity. Charlotte is unable to defend her fake charity and leaves the party.

Finally, Sandy Cohen is having big problems with the Newport Group. They no longer have the funds to keep paying all of their employees and Sandy is having an issue dealing with the fact that he must fire people. He makes as little cuts as he can, but still in the end, people must leave the company.

I thought this was a great episode and I was truly surprised with Julie Cooper acted completely unselfishly. I thought she would take the money and eventually get herself into more trouble. It was impressive that she would do such a classy thing when she is so desperate for funds. I am also glad to see the last of Charlotte. There are enough shady people in that town.

I am always going back and forth between whether I hate Taylor or have sympathy for her. Her mother treats her like dirt and makes fun of the fact that she has no friends. It is easy to see why Taylor acts the way she does. Yet, every time I think she is going to change, she never does.

Once AGAIN, there is another break in the show. Will this thing ever be aired consistently, because it is ruining my blog! Basically next week I am looking forward to some more Taylor and Summer bickering. Now that they are fighting about Seth, I'm sure these arguments will be better than ever. I am also wondering what's going to be going on with Johnny. Now that he and Casey are no longer together, I want to know if he is ever going to put the moves on Marissa. Right now it seems that he and Ryan are becoming pretty close which might cause some akwardness for Marissa. The two boys are two completely seperate parts of her life and I can't see her wanted them to overlap and become friends.

Another plot I can't wait to find out more about is Julie Cooper. How will she provide for her kids and herself? She is going to have to find some kind of job or she will find some other new money-making scheme. None of the Newport women are her real friends, so it should be interesting to see who she turns to for help, because she definately needs it! Another parent who will be facing some serious problems, is Sandy. How is he going to run the Newport group with his new assistant who seems to have no problem firing people who have worked for the company for years. The assistant does have a point, however, because their funds are slowly dimineshing.

I know that it's cheating, but if you want to see some spoilers for the next few episodes, you can check out SpoilerFix.com. None of these plot summaries are definite, but if you're going to be busy with finals like myself and want a heads up of what is to come on The OC, that's the website to visit! Either way, it looks like The OC is going to continue into a great season. I can't wait for the annual Chrismukkah episode which is always the highlight of the season!

This episode begins with Marissa having a nightmare flashback of her run in with Tre. When she tries to be consoled by Ryan, Marissa doesn't find any comfort from him. And of course, she finds it the next day with Johnny. Johnny once beat up his alcoholic abusive father in a fit of rage and completely understands what Marissa is going through. Once again, Ryan becomes suspicious of Marissa and Johnny, as is Johnny's girlfriend, Casey. Later, Johnny walks in on Casey with his enemy surfer, Volchak. Ryan comes and saves the day by punching Volchak.

Back at Harbor, Taylor makes a mandatory senior lock-in for that night. She threatens that Seth, Summer and Ryan must all attend or face harsh punishments by the school. Of course, Ryan and Summer miss the event, leaving Seth to fend for himself. When Taylor begins to get booed and made fun of by the entire senior class, Seth saves the day by putting his own reputation on the line. Taylor begins to really like Seth and promises to put Summer and Ryan's name on the attendance list. However, she doesn't allow Summer to enter the event late, without informing Seth of this.

Charlotte tells Julie about her plan for a benefit for recovering alcoholic women. She explains that they will need to convince Kirstin to donate money for the event. Julie then discovers Charlotte's many identities and confronts her about the benefit. During this time, Sandy decides to hold on to the Newport Group, once owned by Caleb, with his new young partner.

This was a great episode and you can see that things are slowly evolving into huge drama! I cannot believe that even I began to feel bad for Taylor, after seeing her mother make fun of her. I'm glad she has found a friend in Seth, considering they share many of the same interests. That still does not change the fact that Taylor obviously still has a mean streak, when she won't let Summer back in the building, fearing she will take Seth's attention away from her. I am also very nervous about what Julie Cooper will decide to do. If she takes part in the scheme with Charlotte, she will be stealing money from her only friend, Kirstin.

AND IT'S BACK!!! Finally, the OC returns with this "The Perfect Storm" episode. Summer decides to play an evil game with Taylor's head. Summer makes up a story about Dean Hess making out with the gym teacher. Taylor is mortified and falls into Summer and Seth's scheme to prove the teacher-student relationship. At the same time, Sandy is determined to make sure Ryan is allowed back into school at Harbor. Along with Seth and Summer, Sandy is able to convince Dean Hess that he has evidence of his affair with Taylor. Dean Hess is then forced to allow Ryan back at school and promises Sandy he will relocate.

Unfortunately, Ryan no longer wants to be home schooled and begins to look for a job. With help from Marissa's public school friend, Johnny, Ryan is informed about a job at sea. He would become a fisherman and be away on a ship for weeks at a time. Luckily, he opts to return to Orange County just in time to find out that he is once again a student at Harbor.

Once again, Charlotte is continuing her mysterious ways and begins to make friends with Julie Cooper. Under her false identity, she purchases a condo for Julie, who is in a lot of financial trouble. Though Charlotte promises she wants something in return, there is definitely something up her sleeve.

I am really glad that Ryan has chosen not to leave the show, because I would not want Marissa to be left alone with her new friend, Johnny. He seems to have a crush on Marissa, considering he convinced her boyfriend to start a job that required weeks away at a time. I'm also so happy that Dean Hess is gone from the show. He had way too much power over Ryan, Marissa, Seth and Summer and was beginning to really get on my nerves. Another positive part of Summer's plan is that Taylor finally got what she deserved! Now, If I could figure out how Charlotte is going to make Julie a part of her strange plan... Guess I'll have to wait for next week!

It's officially five more days away! Hopefully Halloween will help the time pass by faster for all you fellow OC fanatics. I've decided to dedicate this blog towards Seth Cohen, my favorite character from the show. Whoever writes his one liners is pure genius. For those of you who haven't noticed his quirky humor, here's some of my favorite Seth quotes:

- SETH: Dude, what do we do? I don't want to get thrown out of the hotel. I love the hotel. I want to marry the hotel and have little alcoholic gambling-addicted kids with it. Is that wrong?

- SANDY: Since the minute you were born I knew I would never take another easy breath without knowing that you were all right.
SETH: So I'm like asthma?

- SETH: You know something, don't you?
RYAN: No, no I don't. Don't ask me.
SETH: Dude, I'm a man in a desert, I am dying of thirst and you have a Thermos full of Kool-aid. Come on, give me a sip!

- SETH: I didn't know they had musicals in Chino. I didn't even know they had dancing or laughter.

Click here for more great Seth Cohen quotes!

As you can see, hopefully, Seth always provides comic relief for even the most serious situations. His comments are always witty and even make fun of himself. Lately, however, his lines have been completely dwindeling and not as funny. In past seasons, he could always be relied on to make the show less serious, yet that has not been the case lately. I think there has been a very poor attempt at adding another humorous character to the show, Chili. He is no where near as funny as Seth, and barely has a decent part in the OC. I would love to see more lines from Seth, considering that has always been my favorite part of this program. Well, I guess there's always next week!

Another Thursday goes by and still no OC! I am beginning to have a slight withdrawl problem and I can't wait for Thursday November third when the show finally returns! In the mean time, I thought I would talk about how much I really wish Anna Stern would come back! She was one of my all time favorite characters on this show and I truly loved her and Seth together. Although he always had a huge crush on Summer, I though Anna was always much more compatible for her. I also think it would be a great plot twist to bring her back from Pittsburgh. This would test Seth and Summer's relationship and see if it was actually meant to be or not. Anna loved comics and video games, while Summer's main hobby is shopping and soap operas. The two just obviously seemed to be a match made in heaven.

Speaking of bringing old characters back... Does anyone miss Ryan's brother Tre as much as I do??? I think he was a great (and great looking) addition to the show. Too bad Marissa had to go and shoot him off the show. Tre provided controversy between Ryans old roots and his new rich upbringing. Due to his brother's appearance he had to choose to put himself in bad positions for someone that was his blood or to appreciate the new start he received after moving in with the Cohens. Ryan also had to decide who he was going to stand behind in the end, Marissa or Tre.

Though many characters in this show have come and gone, I am hoping that with this third season even better ones come along. Right now the new additions are Taylor, Johnny, Casey and Charlotte. I personally, hope the show does a little better than these new characters.

Not only is The OC a great television show to watch, but it is an important way for new and upcoming bands to get their names out! Since the beginning of the show, The OC has come out with four CD's featuring music played in the show. One CD, entitled "Music from the OC Mix 3: Have a Very Merry Chrismukkah" includes holiday songs for winter celebrations. I was highly impressed when my sister purchased two of these CD's and I immediately copied them for myself. The songs are great for listening to in the summer or basically any other time of year! The soundtracks include such up and coming bands as The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, and Keane. These are all bands that have become popular recently, which might have something to do with the infamy of the television show on which they have been featured. Listening to these OC Mix CD's has led me to buy some bands albums that I heard on the soundtracks. Not only are there just CD's, but the OC official website lists songs played in every episode. Many times I have heard a song while watching the show and found out later on the website what the song was. I think it was a great marketing idea for the show to do this and the bands on the albums are very lucky to have the ability to reach new audiences through television.

Let me know your favorite songs and bands from The OC and how you heard about them! The fifth episode will not be airing until Thursday, November third!!! I am wondering what could possibly happen for the rest of the season. With Marissa being at her new public school, I think there might be some problems with her and Ryan's relationship. She seems to enjoy her new friends, espeically Casey's boyfriend Johnny. I think it's kind of strange that a new character that resembles Seth Cohen's comedy was brought into the show. Dennis seems like he is kind of an friendly yet dumb person in the new public school click. Knowing Ryan's jealousy and temper, Marissa's new school may be the couple's downfall.
I'm glad Kirsten has decided to return home to her family and give up drinking. She seems like she's finally at peace with her father, the end of the Newport Group and everything else that is going on in her life. However, we all know this won't be true for long if Kirsten stays in touch with the sneaky Charlotte character. Charlotte and her boyfriend don't seem like they are giving up stealing the Cohen's money, even after they discover that Caleb has left nothing in his will.
Right now, I am wondering how Summer is going to go about telling the news that Dean Hess and Taylor were making out. Clearly the student-teacher relationship is not only unethical but illegal. This may be the revenge she was looking for against the dean and Taylor, or Summer might be in over her head.
I'm really upset that Jimmy left his family once again. Even if they weren't rich any longer, they still could have finally lived a happy life together somewhere far away. I agree with Marissa that Jimmy has torn apart the family too many times so that if he thinks he should leave, he should. However, he should not ever come back, allowing them to be broken apart again.

If you want to read some spoilers for upcoming episodes, visit this spoiler website for possible plots in November.

Episode four of the third season and Marissa is facing public school! At her new school, Newport Union, she encounters trouble almost immediately due to her expensive and over-the-top wardrobe. A tough girl named Heather publicly announces the shooting, but Marissa is saved her new friends Casey, Johnny and Dennis. Ryan becomes jealous from Marissa forgetting about their plans and spending time with her new friends, which she finds very important since she is at a new school and needs them. At home, Marissa's mother Julie is facing foreclosure and moves out of the house with one bag into a sleazy motel.
Summer gets tricked by Taylor's soft side and tries to help her be less bossy and find new friends. In the end it turns out this was just another evil plot by Taylor to get Summer to confesses to her crime of borrowing the stage sets. In turn, the Dean will not allow her to remain social chair and gives the job to Taylor. Oddly enough, Summer later finds out that Dean Hess and Taylor aren't just partners in crime when she catches them making out at the school dance!
Kirsten meets up with her old friend Charlotte to explain what happened with the will and her new plans to spend time with Sandy and her children. Charlotte seems shocked and tells Kirsten about her plan to start a place where women can go in between rehab and home. She asks Kirsten to be an investor. It turns out, Charlotte and her boyfriend were living in a motel and are making a plan to take millions from Kirsten.

It is finally the third episode and Marissa will be facing boarding school while Ryan stays at home. Both of their parents suggest that the couple takes some time apart. Seth and Summer are still together and eventually get bribed to join the drama club as stage hands, by Dean Hess and Taylor. Jimmy and Julie are still waiting for the will which predicts their fate. They plan to wed and then live in Hawaii.
Shocked that her best friend might be leaving, Summer plots with Seth how to give Ryan and Marissa a romantic goodbye. They "borrow" stage sets from the play and make a tiki hut on the beach.
Eventually the news that Caleb's will is being read comes, and Kirsten decides to come home from the cabin. At the reading, the will says Caleb wished to split the money evenly between his daughter and his wife. The problem is that Caleb was broke when he died. He did, however, leave behind a letter to Kirsten. She runs away from her husband Sandy, buys a bottle of vodka, and cries in a cheap hotel room.
Meanwhile, Jimmy goes to escape Newport before his business friends find him. At his boat, a group is waiting for him. When they find out he has no money, they beat him. Marissa finds him extremely bruised. Jimmy tells her he has to go. Marissa agrees and say he shouldn't come back. Jimmy gives Marissa his wedding ring which she eventually hands to her mom. Julie seems to understand immediately and sobs.

Kirsten eventually returns home and apologizes. She says she wants to start her life over again. She and Sandy open Caleb's letter to realize that it was actually an apology. It is then revealed to us that Charlotte does not own the cabin.
Finally, Seth and Summer return the equipment but are caught by the Dean and Taylor. Seth, not wanting to give up his girlfriend, agrees to two months detention for single-handedly borrowing the set.

And the second episode has come and gone. And it was a pretty obvious episode, if you ask me. Jimmy and Julie Cooper are spending thousands of dollars they don't have. Therefore, I'm guessing they won't be the receive any money from Caleb's will, leaving them in even more debt than before. Ryan and Marissa faced the Dean of Dicipline to whether or not they were expelled from school due to the shooting. Ryan was fortunate enough to escape the expulsion and return to their prestigious high school. Marissa, on the other hand, was not as fortunate and was kicked out of school for good due to her past of alcohol abuse and other factors. But of course, in the end, Ryan ended up punching the dean, sealing his own fate. Summer took over Marissa's duties of the annual kickoff carnival while taking on the controlling Taylor for the role of social chair. Finally, Kirsten has decided to leave the rehab center. The only problem is that she is leaving with a fellow member to spend time in her lake cabin to escape the temptation of relapse. Sandy comes to visit and is worried that Kirsten will never come back.

I really hope that the creators of this show are just trying to gradually grow into the season, because things are going a little slow for my liking. I still do not understand Charlotte's motives in getting Kirsten to stay at the lake house. She obviously is not over her alcohol addiction and is plotting something. What exactly that is that she's planning, I have no idea still. I am a little upset with the small role Seth has been playing in the episodes. He has always been my favorite character and has kept me laughing throughout the show. Lately things have been way to serious, and he has seemed more of a secondary character than usual. I am also wondering what Ryan and Marissa are going to do after they are kicked out of school. It doesn't seem as though they are ever going to get the chance to re-enter. Will they run away together or something? Finally, I am looking forward to finding out who Caleb's money will go to. Hopefully next week's episode will be more shocking and surprising because right now, this show is a little too predictable. Let me know if you agree or not...

So basically, I have a slight addiction to the television show, The OC. What started as a normal habbit has become an obsession. I love the fashion, the plot twists, the actors, and of course the California coast scenery. If you're unfamiliar with the plot from the beginning, you can visit the show's official home page. The show is on every Thursday night from 8-9 P.M. The season premiere was yesterday September 8th. Currently, Kirsten Cohen, the mother of two boys who are seniors in high school, is in rehab for her alcoholism problem. Her adopted son, Ryan, has been having a lot of problems since his older brother Trey has been released from prison. In the season finale, Trey attacked Ryan's girlfriend Marissa. When Ryan found out about this, he went straight to fight his brother. When the fight became almost deadly, Marissa showed up and attempted to defend her boyfriend Ryan by shooting his brother. Trey was taken to the hospital and when he regained consciousness, he was visited by Marissa's mother Julie. Julie offers him money to tell the police that Ryan was really the person who shot him. He takes the bribe and Ryan is put in jail, but the situation is eventually straightened out and Trey leaves town for good.

I thought this was a decent season premiere and it ended the way it was expected. I also thought Marissa would be a little more sympathetic after almost killing her boyfriend's brother. Another part of the show that confused me was the character from the rehab center who was trying to become close to Kirsten. She seemed to have some other motive to befriending her. I'm hoping next weeks show will bring a few new themes or characters and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. Let me know if you have any ideas on these topics or any thoughts on the first episode!!!
